Welcome to
"A Christmas to Remember"
A Christmas gift program unlike any other!
Opening our door in 2006, A Christmas to Remember was created as an exciting ministry event
for under-resourced children in our community.
"A Christmas to Remember" is a FREE gift-giving program open to ALL under-resourced children (1st-6th grade) in our community...as well as neighboring communities.
Many gift programs are designed with the family in mind however "A Christmas to Remember" was created
specifically for children.
During our event, children will shop for gifts for each member of their family.
Once selected, gifts will be wrapped, bagged and taken home to be placed under each child's tree.
During our exciting morning, children will also enjoy Christmas music, snacks, games, goodie bags and much more.
Children are recommended and registered for our program by their school counselors/caseworkers...
those who know their financial and life situations the best.
Children may be selected for our program based on financial need or family life situations.
Children's do not have to fit within a specific income criterion.
Because of the nature of our event, no child is ever turned away...even if their family has been selected for another gift program.
Over the past 20 years, we have worked diligently to provide gifts for thousands of children and their families.
However, we haven't done it alone. It is through the efforts and generosity of local businesses, individuals, and volunteers, that we can proudly say "We have never had to turn a single child away."

What Makes Our Program So Special?
Our program is not a wish list program...it is an entire morning of shopping, gift wrapping, Christmas music, snacks, and more.
The shoppers are
CHILDREN grades 1st-6th.
As the children walk through the doors, their eyes light up at the site of rows and rows of gifts await them.
Many of them simply stand and stare as they take it all in.
Children are allowed to shop for gifts for EACH member of their family...an opportunity that many of them have never experienced.
Gifts will be selected, wrapped, tagged, and bagged before being sent home to be placed under the tree.
Each child will receive a gift(s) of their very own. Selected by a sibling or one of our many volunteers.

How Do We Select Children?
How Do We Select Children For Our Program?
We don't!
We leave that to the professionals...The school counselors and caseworkers.
After all, who knows the children's needs better than they do?
Each school counselor or case worker will have access to our online registration site. They will recommend and register ALL children for our program. *
All children registered by their school counselor or case worker are automatically accepted into our program.
To make sure that all children have been accounted for, we verify each name with their school counselor or social worker prior to the event.
* Please note, with lots of excited children in attendance, the event will be noisy and consist of many moving parts...It's organized chaos at its finest. If your child suffers from anxiety or is unable to verbally communicate please speak with your school counselor about alternatives.

Counselors/Case Workers
Registration Information
Shortly after the new school year begins, all Rogers school counselors and case workers will receive information about our program.
Most of them have worked with us for years...and know to watch for our information.
1. School counselors/caseworkers will select children for our program.
2. School counselors/caseworkers will send a (furnished) registration form home with each selected child.
3. Parent will complete the registration form and return it to the school counselor/caseworker.
4. The school counselor/caseworker will register each child via our online registration site.
5. That's it! All children who were registered by their school counselor/caseworker are automatically approved for our event.
* Please note, with lots of excited children and adults (200-300) in attendance, the event will be noisy and consist of many moving parts...It's organized chaos at its finest but may not be suitable for all children, especially those with noise triggers or who are nonverbal. We recommend that you do not register any child who you feel would not enjoy the experience.
If you are a Rogers school counselor/caseworker and you did not receive information by mid-September feel free to contact us!
If you are a school counselor/caseworker from a neighboring town and would like to participate, feel free to contact us!

Where Do All The Amazing Gifts Come From?
All gifts for our program are generously donated through local businesses, vendors, churches, and individuals throughout our community. Several of our vendors have been with us for many, many years...and donate some pretty AMAZING gifts.

Shopping Day
On shopping day, parents will escort their children to the check-in desk. They will assist their child with their name tags and then leave their child/children in the capable hands of our volunteers.
Due to safety issues, adults are NOT allowed to stay with their children or assist with their gift selections.
We will have plenty of security personnel present and many safety measures will be put in place.
At the designated pickup time, parents will park in the drive-through pickup line and the children...along with their gifts will be escorted to their cars.
Remember to bring your pick-up tags. If you cannot pick up your child, simply text a photo of your pick-up tag to the person whom you are allowing to pick up your children.
If you misplace your pick-up tag, ID will be required.

How Do I Know If My Child Has Been Selected?
Any child that is registered by their school counselor or case worker is automatically approved for our program. A confirmation will be emailed to each parent after receiving their counselors online registration.
Over the past 20 years, we have NEVER been forced to turn a child away, We work diligently all year long to secure enough gifts so that no child is left out.
* Please note, with lots of excited children in attendance, the event will be noisy and consist of many moving parts...It's organized chaos at its finest. If your child suffers from anxiety or is unable to verbally communicate please speak with your school counselor about alternatives.
